49ers' Gore Questionable

POSTED: 12:29 pm HST September 27, 2006

(Sports Network) - San Francisco 49ers starting running back Frank Gore is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs with a injury to his ribs.

Gore left this past Sunday's 38-24 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles with the injury after fumbling at the goal line. The miscue directly led to an Eagles' touchdown as Mike Patterson returned the ball 98 yards for the score.

Gore has rushed for 266 yards and three touchdowns and had 14 catches for 115 yards so far this season. In Week 3's loss he ran for 52 yards and added six catches for 22 yards.

In other injury news, tight end Vernon Davis is listed as out for Week 4 with a broken fibula, as is guard Larry Allen with a knee injury. Gore's likely replacements, Maurice Hicks and Michael Robinson are also on the injury report. Hicks is questionable with an ankle injury, while Robinson is probable with a shoulder ailment.
