Rob DeMello

Rob was born and raised in Enchanted Lake, Kailua, O'ahu, and graduated from Kailua High School in 2000.

He then attended Hawaii Pacific University, majoring in Visual Communications.

Rob became the weekend sports anchor in April 2005.

DeMello got "into the business" as a Sophomore in high school, at the age of 16, when he began interning at KGMB (the local CBS affiliate) under the tutelage of current ESPN SportsCenter anchor Neil Everett.

Rob worked at KGMB for four years as a sports intern until February 2003 when he was hired as sports producer at KITV.

He made his television debut in August 2004 on KITV's High School Football Hi-Lite Show, Blitz-4.

Outside of working at KITV, Rob also serves as a co-host of on Sporting News Radio on AM 1500.

Rob got married on July 7th, 2007 to Christie Yamane, who he met while working at the YMCA at the age of 19.

In his spare time Rob enjoys playing basketball, spending time with family, and playing with his cat "Louie", a former Pets on Set Star!
