Daryl Huff

Daryl's journalism career started early. He edited the Niu Valley Intermediate School newspaper. He did the same thing at Kalani High School and at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

After internships at the Honolulu Advertiser, Daryl's first television job was at KHON as a political reporter. At Channel 2 he spent several years in management, organizing newscasts and writing stories.

After two years as a press secretary in Washington D.C., Daryl returned to Hawaii to work as assignments manager for KITV. He returned to reporting in 1991 and won several awards for his work.

Daryl was born in Seattle, Washington in 1957. He was raised in Marin County, California. His father, Jerry, brought the family to Hawaii in 1969.

Daryl lives in Makakilo with his wife Carol and two children.
