HONOLULU -- The sale of a 60,000-square foot, double lot, beachfront estate in Kailua closed on Monday for $24 million.

The sale is a record for Oahu's Windward side, according to Coldwell Banker.

The property was listed for $27 million.

The buyer and seller's names are not being disclosed. The property is located on Kailuana Loop and features 255-square feet of beachfront and more than 15,000-square feet of living space in two homes.

The property features its own gym, sauna and tennis court.

The sale is expected to bolster other high-end properties on the windward side, real estate experts said.
