Promoters of the rock band U2 announced on Thursday that the band will perform in Hawaii on Dec. 9.

The band was originally slated to perform at Aloha Stadium on April 8, but canceled because a family member of someone in the band was ill, officials said.

The halt of U2's Vertigo Tour also postponed concerts in New Zealand, Australia and Japan.

The popular grunge band Pearl Jam will also perform with U2, promoters announced.

People who purchased tickets should keep their original tickets for the concert, organizers said. Those who need refunds can call Ticketmaster at 800-750-4400 for tickets purchased online or over the phone from July 18-27, according to written statement.

Tickets that are returned will go on sale starting on Aug. 5 at the Aloha Stadium box office and Ticketmaster.
