Fire Guts Kailua-Kona Home

Emergency Personnel Treats Survivor Of Smoke Inhalation

Emergency teams on Tuesday morning battle a Kailua-Kona house fire and help treat an occupant of smoke inhalation.


The fire was first reported at about 4 a.m. at a residence on Plumeria Road.

Firefighters arrived to find the home engulfed in flames.

Emergency workers gave the one person who lives in the home oxygen and treated the person for smoke inhalation.

Officials estimate damage to the home at $140,000.

The Red Cross is helping the resident with any essential needs.
