After nearly a week of deliberations, a trial in a gangland-style murder case has ended with a hung jury.

Patrick Deguair Jr. was accused of killing Jermaine Duckworth because Duckworth had told police the defendant was involved in a home invasion robbery.

Deguair denied killing Duckworth and implied the state's chief witness was the more likely killer.

The jury could not agree to either acquit or convict Deguair of murder charges, so prosecutors said they will take him back to trial.

The jury made one finding -- that Deguair is not guilty of drug charges. He faces another trial on robbery charges.
