Woman In King St. Crash Dies

Victim Struck, Dragged While Crossing Road

A 79-year-old woman who was hit by a car while she crossed King Street has died, police said.

The woman was hit at the intersection at Isenberg Street.

The victim died at Queen's Medical Center at 2:43 p.m. on Tuesday, police said.

The pedestrian was hit and dragged by the vehicle for about 30 feet, authorities said.

Honolulu police opened a negligent homicide investigation. Alcohol and speed do not appear to be involved in the collision, police said.
