Police: Rockslide Happened In Kailua-Bound Lanes

State Department of Transportation officials said they plan to dispatch crews to conduct preventive work on a hillside near the Pali Highway after a boulder tumbled onto the roadway.

A 4-foot boulder slid in a rockslide onto the Pali Highway, causing a car crash on Tuesday night, police said.

It happened in the Kailua-bound lanes just before the Pali Tunnels.

The 4-foot boulder fell onto the roadway causing a car to crash into it.

No one was seriously injured, police said.
