Maui fire crews fought a brush fire in Lahaina that prompted several road closures, county officials said.

The fire broke out at about 1:48 p.m. near Lahainaluna Road. The Maui Fire Department dispatched tankers and a helicopter to the scene.

Authorities closed Lahainaluna Road between Kalena and Kuialua streets and the Lahaina Aquatics Center. Air 1 used water from the pool at the center for water drops.

The fire did not threaten any homes, officials said. No one was injured.
