A 19-year-old woman died after a car crash in Kaimuki Monday night, according to Honolulu traffic investigators.

It happened shortly before 9 p.m. at the intersection of 7th Avenue and Kilauea Avenue.

The woman was a passenger in a car that did not stop at a stop sign and hit another vehicle, said police. The impact caused the second car to hit two parked vehicles.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition where she later died.

The 21-year-old man driving the car that failed to stop was arrested on a charge of negligent homicide.
