A 46-year-old Honolulu man accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl and forcing her to prostitute made an appearance in court Monday morning.

Felix Thaxton accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl and trying to turn her into a prostitute last month.

Thaxton is charged with two counts each of first- and third-degree sex assault, criminal soliciting and two counts of promotion of prostitution.

Thaxton met the victim in Waikiki and offered her a ride, according to court documents. He drove her to a secluded area and raped the teen, court records said.

The victim claimed Thaxton repeatedly tried to employ her as a prostitute and also asked the girl to perform sexual acts for money.

He's being held on $250,000 bail.
