Hawaii's Kimberly Kim, 17, scored two victories Friday to earn a spot in the finals of the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship.

Kim beat Sun Gyoung Park, of Arizona, 6 and 5 in the quarterfinals. The Hilo native defeated Joanna Coe, of New Jersey, 4 and 3 in the semifinals.

Kim now faces one of the nation's top-ranked college players, Jennifer Song, who plays for USC.

Kim became the youngest winner of the U.S. Women's Amateur in 2006 at age 14. She was the runner up of the Publinx in 2006.

Song lost in the finals of this event last year to Tiffany Joh.
