HONOLULU -- A month after a Schofield Barracks-based soldier was found not guilty of killing an unarmed Iraqi, another soldier involved in the case has had his conviction reduced. In February, a military panel sentenced Spc. Christopher Shore to 120 days in prison and demoted him to private. The acting commander of the 25th Infantry Division reduced Shore's aggravated assault conviction to assault.
The change erased Shore's felony record. The general also allowed Shore to regain his old rank of specialist.
