A turf company on Tuesday replaced the stolen grass from a stage at Kaewai Elementary School.

A truck from Southern Turf International delivered a load of sod to the school.

The school had built an outdoor stage for student performances, but thieves raided the school and stole much of the sod. The students were heartbroken and the school did not have the money to replace it.

The owner of Southern Turf International, a Mililani sod farm, heard about the theft and donated about $1,000 worth of sod so the stage could be repaired.
