Police Say Driver Arrested On DUI Charges

Police said a woman was hit by a car in Hawaii Kai Thursday night.

According to authorities, a 54-year-old man who was driving the car has been arrested and charged with driving under the influence, KITV reported.

Investigators said the wreck occurred at about 8:45 p.m. on Kalani-ana-ole Highway near an Outback Steakhouse restaurant.

Police said the woman was not in a marked crosswalk when she was struck.

She is listed in critical condition with head injuries, according to authorities.
