Fans chose Hawaii quarterback Colt Brennan the AT&T Player of the Week, officials announced on Thursday.

The University of Hawaii senior threw for 416 yards and six touchdowns in the Warriors' win over Northern Colorado last Saturday.

Brennan received 45 percent of the votes to beat out Appalachian State quarterback Armanti Edwards (37 percent), UCLA quarterback Ben Olson (10 percent) and Rutgers wide receiver Tiquan Underwood (8 percent).

ESPN nominated the players based on their performances last week.

Fans were given the chance to text their votes in.

Brennan was a finalist for last year’s AT&T All-America Player of the Year award.

UH faces Louisiana Tech in Ruston on Saturday in the first of two straight road games that will keep the Warriors on the road for 12 days and about 8,150 miles. They face UNLV on Sept. 15.
