As the search for Flight 370 continues, some people in China are wondering out loud: Would things be different if the search was for an American plane?
The anguish continues to grow over the missing Malaysia Airlines flight. Many families are still clinging to hope that the Malaysia government will provide visual proof that Flight 370 did in fact go down into the Indian Ocean.
The importance of closure and the return home of family remains is strong within the culture, so the spirit will return to native lands.
"We want to know the truth. It is an opinion of mine, but even a friend of mine also say, "What if all the passengers, [if] they were American?'" said Charlie Wang, a Beijing, China resident.
Mental health experts are offering assistance to the affected families to lead them away from anger and denial into a place of acceptance and healing.
Search planes did spot objects in the water Friday, but nothing can be confirmed until ships pick those pieces up.
