The Honolulu medical examiner identified the Utah man who died after snorkeling at Sharks Cove on Sunday.
He was identified as 43-year-old Andrew Walkingshaw of Taylorsville.
Walkingshaw was waving for help while in the water at around 9:30 a.m. Sunday. Bystanders performed CPR on him. Click here to read the story from Sunday.
Walkingshaw was hospitalized in critical condition and later died. The cause of death has been deferred pending an investigation.
Fire officials say the man may have had a medical condition that contributed to his death.
