The University of Hawaii has officially launched its new merchandising store at Ward Center.
The H-Zone will open Tuesday at 10 a.m. just a few doors down from the old Rainbowtique.
Officials say all sales and proceeds from the store will go right back into the school's athletics program.
"Our student athletes need to have the best quality collegiate experience, so we need to fund that. This is certainly not the whole pie, but it is certainly a big piece of the pie. That should have a positive benefit to that end," said John MacNamara, UH Associate Athletics Director.
Officials expect the store to bring in about a $500,000 in its first year.
With every $50 spent, shoppers get a voucher to see their favorite UH team in action.
