Students from over 20 schools island wide have come together for a summer full of performing arts! Joining us this morning are a group of students from the Ohana Arts Summer Festival and School. Leion Van Osdol is here to give us more details on what they've been working on. Good Morning Leion! ASHLEY: You guys have been working hard on "HAIRSPRAY"... What can you tell us about the production? LEION: story of charismatic teenager Tracy Turnblad who is determined to defy the odds, and to break down barriers of body image and Racism. The show is complete with music reminiscent of the 60's ASHLEY: The group of you guys working on this production are from ALL over.... What's it like working with people from other school and with such a variety in ages? LEION: featuring youth ages 8-18 from around the island... About 20 different schools. ASHLEY: The show starts at the end of the month-- at the St. Louis School Maymiya Theatre...? LEION: July 24-26th, matinee at 2:30pm and evening show at 7:30. TRIGGER Tickets are $15 dollars for General Admission and $10-dollars for students.
