Drew Paahau, 22, of Honolulu pleaded guilty to first-degree criminal property damage and second-degree burglary in connection with the break-in at Iolani Palace back in February, according to the state attorney general.
She faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison with a possible fine of up to $30,000. Sentencing is set for Nov. 14.
Paahau was arrested and charged for kicking open a door at the Iolani Palace and entering with the intent to take items. The kick to the front door caused significant damage to an antique Victorian period etched glass panel within the door.
Due to the extraordinary historical value of the etched glass panel, the fair market value of the door was appraised at $100,000.
