Officials say the remains of Hawaii's second saint will return to be permanently held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Peace.
Marianne was the second saint from the islands to be canonized by the Catholic Church.
It's her work and care for the patients in Kalaupapa that helped drive St. Marianne to be celebrated by many.
A formal ceremony will be held in honor of her return at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Peace Thursday.
