Dozens of seniors participated in Kupuna Power Day at the State Capitol Wednesday morning.
More than 30 vendors provided our oldest neighbors with resources on Medicare/Medicaid, computer classes and even provided blood pressure checks.
Legendary performer Danny Kaleikini as well as comedian Tony Silva entertained the crowd.
"Kupuna power is a state of mind. It's preparing yourself for the golden years and all of the resources that are available for you in the public and private sector and just package it in a nice program," said Sen. Brickwood Galuteria.
"I look forward to Kupuna day to have fun, enjoy, love one another – learn life," said Victoria Midado who celebrated Kupuna Power Day.
Sen. Galuteria wants to make Kupuna Power Day an annual tradition. He also says the senate is working on some bills to protect our seniors from scams.
