Organizers say someone slashed a Honolulu Pride Parade banner at Ala Moana Beach Park.

Volunteers have since fixed it and Saturday will mark the 24th anniversary of the parade.
With the passage of the Hawaii Marriage Equality Act, organizers say this year's event is special.
"In my five years as chair of honolulu pride i have never had anything like this happen with any of our signs hopefully its just one individual," said Michael Golojuch, chairperson of Honolulu Pride.
"Things like this today remind us its not over yet we need to win more hearts the sweet spot in their heart we have to get to it," said President Carolyn Golojuch of Rainbow Family
The Pride parade starts at 10 a.m. Saturday at Magic Island.
The walk goes to Kapiolani Park where the celebration continues until 4 p.m.
