PRESIDENT OBAMA TODAY PRAISED VOLUNTEERS FOR THEIR HARD WORK HERE IN VILONIA AND MAYFLOWER. ESPECIALLY ONE YOUNG WOMAN. "and one volunteer, 16 year old casey williams, did such a good job coordinating relief efforts that arkansas state police started taking order from her." TONIGHT, 40/29'S EMILY MAHER TRACKED DOWN THAT VOLUNTEER. CASEY WILLIAMS IS A SOPHOMORE AT VILONIA HIGH SCHOOL. SHE'S AN EAGLE THROUGH AND THROUGH - THIS IS HER HOMETOWN. SHE SAYS THAT'S WHY SHE VOLUNTEERED IN THE FIRST PLACE. (SOT Casey Williams, Volunteer) "when he got to me, it was, why are you in a room full of first responders?' You know, what did you do to get in here?' CASEY WILLIAMS' ANSWER TO PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA'S QUESTION WAS A SHORT ONE. (SOT Casey Williams, Volunteer) "it was my duty, I mean, it's my town, I couldn't not help" 16-YEAR-OLD WILLIAMS VERY QUICKLY BECAME THE GO-TO PERSON. (SOT Casey Williams, Volunteer) "somehow I ended up in charge down there dispatching all of the volunteers and doing all that before team Rubicon got here and was able to organizer it for me" AND EVEN THOUGH SHE GOT A MENTION IN THE PRESIDENT'S SPEECH - IT WAS THIS PICTURE WILLIAMS REALLY WANTED. (SOT Casey Williams, Volunteer) "and I went over there and asked one of his bodyguards if I could take a selfie with the President and then he heard me say that and said, yeah, sure that's fine! It's your generation of selfies.' And came over there and got down beside me and waited for me to pull the camera up and take the selfie" THIS IS NOT CASEY'S FIRST TIME HELPING OUT. SHE VOLUNTEERED WHEN THE 2011 TORNADO HIT. BUT SAYS THIS TIME AROUND - SHE NEVER IMAGINED SHE'D BE SHAKING HANDS WITH THE PRESIDENT. IN HIS SPEECH, THE PRESIDENT SAYS CASEY EVEN STEPPED UP AND TOLD STATE POLICE WHERE THEY NEEDED TO BE IF THEY WANTED TO HELP OUT.
