Chief Election Officer keeps his job after ballot debacle

The Hawaii Elections Commission decided Friday not to hand down any punishment for the ballot shortage debacle in the 2012 General Election.
A task force for the commission says they interviewed several department heads and a former chief election officer and determined there was no single cause for the fiasco.
They are working with Chief Election Officer Scott Nago to create a more structured system of checks and balances.
