Honolulu Mayor Peter Carlisle and U.S. Senate candidate both conceded their respective races after the second printout on Primary Election night.
Carlisle was trailing in third place behind leader Ben Cayetano and Kirk Caldwell with 24.3 percent of the vote with 122 of 156 precincts counted.
Carlisle said he is retiring after 14 years as prosecutor and two years as Honolulu mayor. He said he will run for mayor again in the next election.
Case conceded to Congresswoman Mazie Hirono Saturday night. Case had 40.5 percent of the vote with 174 of 250 precincts counted.
Former Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann conceded the Democratic race for U.S. Representative District 2 to Tulsi Gabbard. Gabbard had 56.7 percent of the vote after two printouts.
