20 Oahu polling sites run out of ballots

KITV4 News has learned about 20 polling sites on Oahu that ran out of paper ballots on Election Day. People in line were able to vote electronically.
The following is the official list of polling places that ran out of paper ballots at some point on Election Day, according to state election officials:
- Ala Wai Elementary
- August Ahrens Elementary
- Hahaione Elementary
- Hokulani Elementary
- Holy Trinity
- Jefferson Elementary
- Kaelepulu Elementary
- Kaimuki High School
- Kainalu Elementary
- Kalaheo High School
- Kamiloiki Elementary
- Lehua Elementary
- Leilehua High School
- Manana Elementary
- Maili Elementary
- Mililani District Park
- Royal Kunia Elementary
- Salt Lake Elementary
- Waianae Intermediate
- Wilson Elementary
Elections officials point to a spike in turnout and an underestimation of ballots needed.
