Honolulu police say a 22-year-old woman was arrested Thursday morning on the H-1 Freeway near Aiea for violating Hawaii's Move Over law.
A solo bike officer made a traffic stop at around 4 a.m. on the H-1 Freeway heading westbound near the Kaonohi Street overpass.
Police say the officer was sideswiped by the woman driving on the freeway. The officer was treated and released from the hospital. The officer is a 7-year veteran of the force assigned to traffic.
The Move Over law says that drivers need to slow down or move one to two lanes over when they see an emergency vehicle that is stopped with flashing lights.
