Honolulu police say a body of a man was pulled from waters off Waikiki Wednesday morning.
The body was found in the waters near the Tongg's surf area at the end of Kalakaua Avenue. Emergency Medical Services officials say surfers found the body.
Paramedics pronounced the man dead at 6:41 a.m.
Investigators say the man was possibly in his 40s and was wearing a white shirt and swim trunks when he was found floating face down in the water.
Those in the area say they knew the man as a surfer.
Police are continuing to investigate.
