Circus animals will be performing at the Neal Blaisdell Center for the first time in more than 20 years.
Some will remember back in 1994 when Circus International brought Tyke the elephant to the Blasidell Arena. Tyke ended up killing her trainer before escaping from the building.
The elephant roamed the streets of Kaka'ako for about 30 minutes before police shot and killed Tyke.
According to Pacific Business News, there will be no elephants in the upcoming circus.
The Moscow International Circus website says families will watch lions and tigers but the focus will be on acrobatics.
The circus will run from Oct. 3 through Oct. 5 at the Blaisdell Center. Tickets start at $25.
