Honolulu police arrested Oahu Community Correctional Center inmate Justin Kondo on Wednesday after he failed to return from a work furlough, according to state public safety officials.
The arrest was made at 1:25 p.m. Sheriffs were notified Tuesday night at around 8 p.m.
Kondo was serving time for a burglary and auto theft conviction.
His next parole hearing is scheduled for July 15.
