Fifth grader Wyatt Nako sang the Star-Spangled Banner.
'Iolani Summer Schools students marched in their 26th annual Independence Day parade. They were dressed in red, white and blue.
The keiki carried patriotic posters around the track in honor of the United States' birthday.
"For 'Iolani, it really showcases our community. This is a community project. We welcome children from all over the world and the mainland and the islands, so it really showcases what it is like to be American," said Michelle Hastings, 'Iolani Schools Summer program director
Keiki from kindergarten to fifth grade participated in the event.
