P.F. Chang's Hawaii announced plans this week to consolidate its two Honolulu restaurants by closing the Hokua restaurant in the Ward area on Sunday, Dec. 9.
All 68 employees will be relocated to P.F. Chang's in Waikiki.
"We will be closing P.F. Chang's Hokua in an effort to consolidate our two P.F. Chang's restaurants that are located less than three miles apart," said Greg Meier, president of PFC Hawaii, LLC. "The timing of the closure was based on staffing needs at P.F. Chang's Waikiki during the holiday season, providing us the ability to offer relocation opportunities to our entire Hokua staff."
To facilitate the customer transition from Hokua to Waikiki, every Hokua customer dining between Sept. 15 and Dec. 9 will receive a special Ohana discount card good for 20 percent off and preferred seating at P.F. Chang's Waikiki during all of 2013.
