It's been a busy first day at the new T.J. Maxx at the Ward Village Shops.

The store opened Thursday to an eager crowd of shoppers.

Those who are there said that one of the lines had a one-hour-long wait.

Another line had to be directed outside of the door into the hallway near the parking structure.
