Thanks for watching KITV4 news online. I'm Kenny Choi. Honolulu City Prosecutor Keith Kaneshiro is expected to attend Kailua's neighborhood board meeting-- to address concerns over increased crime. Locals say there have been more house break-ins and auto thefts-- and worry the people doing the crimes are repeat offenders. The meeting is at the Kailua District Park Recreation Center at 7 o-clock. Stay with KITV4 for the latest on tonights meeting. A traffic reminder for drivers ... H-1 Rehabilitation construction continues TONIGHT-- with partial closures of BOTH the eastbound and WESTBOUND lanes of the freeway. The closures are from Middle Street to Ward Avenue from 9 p-m to 4 a-m. President Obama says House Speaker John Boehner is the only thing standing in the way of reopening the federal government. And this morning Congresswoman Colleen Hanabusa addressed the speaker on the house floor and sent us a clip. I AM CONFUSED MR SPEAKER, BUT WHAT ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO'S LIVES YOU ARE PLAYING WITH--YOU CANT TELL THEM WHY YOU'RE DOING THIS--END THIS BRINKMANSHIP AND SHOW LEADERSHIP The congresswoman is calling on Boehner to vote on a CLEAN continuing resolution that would fund the government. Military commissaries are now closed... And that's affecting local businesses that deliver food and beverages. Armstrong Produce in Mapunapuna says 20 percent of its business goes to the 4 Hawaii commissaries. They already stopped making deliveries and now have extra products they need to unload. Another company ... Paradise Beverages says its $1.5 million in sales to commissaries each year is also taking a hit. The government shutdown will not stop the Navy-Air Force football game from happening this weekend. Apparently, planning and preparation for the nationally televised game was in place before the shut down and it involves non-appropriated funds. The United States Naval Academy football team is coached by local boy Ken Niu- mata-lolo. A local company is offering a free... freefall to some furloughed government workers. Skydive Hawaii says on its Facebook page that it's offering free lift tickets to all U-S-P-A licensed sport skydivers -- who are federal workers directly affected by the shutdown. The company says -- "we will keep this up until you're working again or we no longer can bear the costs." Those free lift tickets are being offered on weekdays.
