Good morning I'm Jill Kuramoto. Honolulu police have opened an attempted murder investigation after an early morning stabbing in Kalihi. A 39-year-old man was stabbed multiple times on North King Street near Akepo lane at about one-thirty this morning. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Police are looking for four suspects they believe were involved in this stabbing. The search continues on the Big Island for 2 escapees from the Hale Nani Correctional Facility. Authorities say 23-year-old Robert Garcia and 27-year-old Andrew Wanat have been missing since Wednesday night. If you've see them -- call Big Island police. Three Chinese ships and hundreds of Chinese sailors are expected to arrive in Honolulu today--- They'll participate in a RARE search-and-rescue exercise with the U-S Navy. The guided missile destroyer Qingdao will arrive in Pearl Harbor today along with a frigate and a supply ship. The visit is part of the U-S Navy's ongoing effort to develop relationships with foreign navies. A "corpse plant" at Foster Botanical Garden is expected to bloom today-- This is video from the last time the plant bloomed. Once in full bloom-- it'll give off a strong smell similar to a rotting One it blooms-- the smell lasts up to 48 hours. It's all about the LADIES this weekend -- at the 11th annual Hawaii Woman Expo -- plus hawaii sewing, quilting, and crafts show at the Neal Blaisdell Center. It runs from 5 to 9 tonight -- with food, fashion, and shopping. The 3-day event runs through Sunday. Admission is 3-dollars. A party will be held this weekend for the late Senator Daniel Inouye. Saturday would have been his 89th birthday. In his honor... a celebration will take place on the civic center grounds next to Honolulu Hale. The senator's widow along with all four mayors will speak. Hookena will provide the music... And Zippy's is donating the Senator's favorite foods... Chili with spam musubi. The event Tomorrow is free and open to the public. It'll get underway at 4:00p-m.
