I'm Paul Drewes, thanks for watching KITV-4 online. Get ready for the Christopher Deedy RE-TRIAL The Deedy do-over became official when the judge declared a mistrial yesterday. Jurors could not come to an agreement in the murder trial for the federal agent ... For the shooting death of Kollin Elderts. The next trial might not happen until at least July of next year. A Maui judge will hear today whether Marlin Lavoie is mentally fit to stand trial for murder. He's charged with 2nd degree murder in the shooting death of his girlfriend Malia Ka-hale- wai. The incident happened in March at her Kauna-kakai apartment. Lavoie has pleaded not guilty and is currently being held without bail. All aboard! One of Oahu's busiest bus routes is getting some reinforcement.. Route 13 connects Nuuanu, U-H, and Waikiki. The bus used to come every 20 minutes .. Now it will be every 15. That should mean space for an extra one-thousand people per day. Even with budget cuts coming next year, Mayor Kirk Caldwell promises to keep the routes intact. MOANI.. Funeral services have been set for the Kaneohe teen killed after riding his skateboard. Police say 19-year old Alan Michael Danielson was hanging onto a car near his home on Apapane Street-- when he lost control of his skateboard and hit the pavement. He died from his injuries. Services are being held at Bellows beach this Saturday-- starting at noon. Want to talk about traffic -- Tonight you'll get your chance. the department of transportation will hold a community meeting to discuss the night time construction work that will affect west bound traffic along the H-1 freeway. This includes the P-M contraflow lane... As well as improvement work to the Pearl City and Waimalu viaduct. Tonight's meeting starts at 6:00 at the Pearl City High School Cafeteria. Japan Airlines is seeking ways to make travel to Hawaii more attractive, and they're catering to travelers tastebuds. Our partners at Pacific Business News say the airline will offer meals designed by head chefs of popular dining chains during the month of September, on select flights. Sandwiches from the popular Kua'aina will also be served. And in October- the airline will roll out a womens-only space where passengers can put on make-up before landing in Honolulu.
