Thanks for watching KITV4 news online, I'm Jill Kuramoto. Today Jury deliberations in the murder trial of federal agent Christopher Deedy continues. There has been talk about the possibility of a hung jury in this case -- in part -- because the 8 men and 4 women on the jury must decide between two extremes: murder or acquittal. This case is being considered one of the most high-profile cases the islands has seen in YEARS. Stay with KITV for the latest on the deedy murder trial. A 19-year-old Kaneohe man has died-- after crashing on his skateboard. Alan Michael Danielson was being pulled by a car early yesterday morning-- when he lost control. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police say the man towing Danielson is being investigated for negligent homicide. Meanwhile-- a local city councilman is pushing for a new law that would require skate boarders to wear a helmet. And heads up to drivers on MAUI! The department of Public Works will close down Kulani-Hakoi Bridge on South Kihei Road tomorrow for emergency repairs. The work involves the installation of steel plates to help relieve stress on the deteriorating bridge. Complete road closures will be held from 7-A-M to 10-P-M. Detours will be set up in the area towards Pii-lani Highway from Kao-no-ulu and Kulani- Hakoi streets. Motorists are advised to use Pii-lani Highway as an alternate route.
