Maui police closed a portion of Molokai Hema Street in Kahului on Wednesday.
Officers say they received a call of terroristic threatening involving unexploded ordnances within a residence located on the street.
Transportation Security Administration officials responded with bomb canines, but no explosives were discovered. An investigation also revealed there was no direct threat made between a suspected man and the caller.
The closure started near Laau Street by Maui High School. Students who were on campus around 4:30 p.m. were asked to leave campus.
Residents nearby were also evacuated from their homes.
Roads were re-opened at 6:20 p.m.
No arrest or charges were made.
