A man charged with murdering a Kailua homeless man pleaded not guilty in circuit court Monday.
31-year-old Robert Roediger Geauque is accused of stabbing 37-year-old Scott MacMillan to death in a stairwell near Cinnamon's Restaurant in Kailua in January.
Geauque fled to Santa Barbara shortly before he was charged and was recently extradited back to Oahu. His criminal trial is set to begin the week of Jun. 16 before Judge Karen Ahn.
He is currently being held on $5 million bond.
