The 20th annual Made in Hawaii festival is happening right now at the Blaisdell exhibition hall. Thousands are expected... as vendors display their authentic Hawaii-made product. KITV4's Ashley Moser has more on the more local festival. After decades of searching for quality products -- Bobbie 20:24 "THEY ARE WELL MADE."20:25 Aunty Bobbie says she's found the place to shop. 20:26 "NO ONE ELSE MAKES IT LIKE MADE IN HAWAII." 20:29 A long line around the Blaisdell today as hundreds waited for the doors to open. But that didn't stop Aunty Bobbie from getting a head start on her shopping game. Bobbie 20:42 "I WALK AND I LOOK BUT I DON'T LOOK AROUND TOO MUCH. YOU KNOW GOTA WATCH YOUR MONEY TOO. BECAUSE IT'S SO TEMPTING." 20:49 From Koa wood products and hawaiian clothing, to handmade jewelry -- artists keep their items authentic. Lenei: 4:19 "I JUST USED THAT BECAUSE IT WAS SOMETHING DONE A LONG TIME AGO WHEN WE WEREN'T OVER PICKED AND IT WAS DONE IN A PONO WAY WHEN THEY JUST USED TO WASH UP ON SHORE AND WERE EMPTY." 4:27 The importance perpetuating culture also shared at the Hopale'a booth -- where all proceeds from selling their hawaii made chocolate covered ginger --donated to the Polynesian Voyaging Society.
