An Allegiant Air flight from Honolulu to Los Angeles had to return to Honolulu International Airport due to a reported loss of cabin pressure, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
About 35 minutes into the Flight #2072, the crews encountered a cabin pressurization issue, according to the airline. The Boeing 757 landed in Honolulu at 3:32 p.m. without incident.
During the descent, the pilots opted to manually deploy the passenger oxygen masks to ensure the safety and comfort of the passengers, according to Allegiant Air.
There were 204 passengers and eight crew members on board with no reported injuries.
The flight will be rescheduled for Tuesday with a replacement aircraft. Any passenger living more than 50 miles from the airport will be provided with hotel accommodations overnight.
Passengers are also welcome to change or cancel their flight at no cost and all passengers will receive $200 off future travel.
