The attorney for Hawaii entertainer Danny Kaleikini entered a plea of not guilty for a drunken driving charge Monday morning in court.
Kaleikini was not in court when the plea was entered. His attorney says despite the not guilty plea, the entertainer does not intend to fight the charge and will take responsibility for his actions.
On April 4, police say Kaleikini made a turn and drove in the wrong direction near Kahala Mall.
Investigators say the singer had a blood alcohol content of 0.087, which is above the legal limit.
Kaleikini told officers that he misjudged the turn and said he had a glass of wine earlier.
Kaleikini's attorney says his client assures the public this will not happen again.
