A jury found Teddy Munet not guilty Thursday afternoon of murdering William Fallau more than two years ago.
However, the jury did find Munet guilty of a lesser charge relating to carrying an unregistered firearm. Sentencing for that charge is set for Nov. 12.
Munet was accused of killing Fallau back in July 2012 at Kawainui State Park.
He also made headlines in February 2013 when he led authorities on an 11-hour-long manhunt after he escaped from corrections officers while being transported to Circuit Court in Honolulu.
Munet was sentenced to five years in prison for the escape and 10 years for robbery when he tried to yank a woman out of her car at Voyager Middle School.
KITV4 News will have more on this story tonight at 5, 6 and 10.
