Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 122 is scheduled to arrive at Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay on Tuesday, between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
These jet aircraft will be temporarily based here from June 24 through Aug. 25 in support of the Rim of the Pacific Exercise. Oahu residents may see and hear increased aircraft activity surrounding the base during this time.
During RIMPAC, airfield operations will occur 24 hours a day, but jet aircraft are not scheduled to fly later than 11 p.m. This may change due to weather or training requirements. Maintenance will occur overnight to ensure the safe operation of all aircraft.
Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 122, from Beaufort, S.C., recently completed a six-month Unit Deployment Program in Asia.
