Hurricane Iselle remains a powerful storm with winds of 140 mph. It is still in eastern Pacific waters, around 1200 miles away from Hilo.
The latest forecast track has it reaching the state on Thursday as a strong tropical storm.
Iselle could move over the state with heavy rain, sustained winds of 65-70 mph and higher gusts.
Each island could experience the damaging effects of Iselle when it arrives.
The National Hurricane Center says Tropical Storm Julio is currently located well southwest of the southern tip of the Baja, California, peninsula with maximum sustained winds at 60 mph.
The Honolulu Department of Emergency Management is advising the public to know where their nearest Hurricane Evacuation Shelter is located before going. They also recommend bringing all emergency supplies to the shelter.
