Honolulu remains on the list as one of the cleanest cities in the nation for ozone.
The American Lung Association released a report Wednesday saying Honolulu received a grade A rating for maintaining its year-round particle pollution levels or soot levels.
The Hawaii Director for the American Lung Association went on to say that the air in Honolulu is actually cleaner than when the group started the State of the Air report 15 years ago.
Also in the list were Kahului, Wailuku and Lahaina which were ranked together as ninth in the Top 25 Cleanest U.S. Cities for Year-round Particle Pollution.
Others to top the list included Prescott, Arizona, and Cheyenne, Washington.
The cities ranking as the most polluted by ozone include Los Angeles, California, Washington, D.C. and Las Vegas, Nevada.
