landscape. A historic movie theater in Honokaa is on the verge of closing if it doesn't get the funding necessary to stay open. The Honoka'a People's Theatre, which opened in 1930 needs money to buy a digital projector to show movies. The theater currently has a film projector but the owner says it will stop receiving film at the end of the year. The theatre needs 60 thousand dollars to buy the projector and the owner says he's half way there. The theatre has a kickstarter crowd fundraising link for anyone interested in donating.
